Mohave County Library District launching summer reading program
KINGMAN — The Mohave County Library District is launching its summer reading program for patrons of all ages with special events at the Bullhead City, Kingman and Lake Havasu City branches. This year's theme is "Adventure Begins at Your Library" for a program that runs through July 13.
Pool party: Bullhead City Municipal Pool opens for free swim on Memorial Day
The Bullhead City Parks & Recreation Department threw a Memorial Day pool party with free admission at the municipal swimming pool at Ken Fovargue Park on Monday. About 200 people took advantage of the opportunity to cool off and play some lawn games. It also was National Sunscreen Awareness Day with Western Arizona Regional Medical Center and the BHHS Legacy Foundation teaming up to present sunblock, first-aid kits and sun safety information to attendees.
