The Roadrunner Resort & Floating Dock Bar suffered damage from the weekend storms only two weeks after re-opening to the public after 18 months of construction. According to Garrett Scholl, new owner of the bar, the roof of a storage facility on the property was picked up by the wind, flying through the power lines and landing on a couple cars. Additionally, a urinal was ripped off the wall of the renovated structure, but was fixed within 15 minutes.

Motorcyclist identified in fatal Saturday crash as 74-year-old Bullhead City woman
BULLHEAD CITY — A woman killed in a motorcycle accident on Saturday has been identified by the Bullhead City Police Department. Charleen Mae Babcock, 74, of Bullhead City, died after her 2009 Harley Davidson tricycle motorcycle crashed at about 6:10 p.m. into a curb at Highway 95 and Baseline Road.
Bullhead City teenager pleads guilty to drive-by shooting
KINGMAN — The second Bullhead City teenager charged along with two others in the June 2023 drive-by shooting at Rotary Park accepted a plea agreement Monday. Anthony Donnelly Kemp, 17, pleaded guilty to drive by shooting. Charges include attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of discharging a firearm at a structure were dismissed.

LAUGHLIN — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers in Laughlin responded to 12 crimes against people, 26 crimes against property and four crimes against society from April 1 through 26, including 12 assaults, six motor vehicle thefts, nine offenses of destruction, damage or vandalism of property, three thefts from a motor vehicle and four drug offenses.

LAUGHLIN — Work began on Monday on the second and final phase of a project to rebuild all the streets in Laughlin’s residential area. Clark County recently issued the official notice to proceed on the $7.45 million project in the neighborhoods around El Mirage Way and James A. Bilbray Parkway, which will include improvements to 6.8 miles of roads in five subdivisions.

Desert Storm festivities continued into Friday as Parade of Power participants cruised the Bridgewater Channel. The event drew thousands of spectators to the shoreline and the Island. Onlookers lining the London Bridge and the Channel viewed many power boats in Friday’s procession. A poker run following the parade brought participants to various locations across Lake Havasu.
