Bridge connecting southern Nevada and Arizona communities set to open in June
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — After decades of planning and construction, Laughlin, Nevada, and Bullhead City will be united by a bridge that residents say has been a long time coming. The bridge, which cost $60 million, will reduce travel distance between the two communities by approximately 9 miles. Construction began in 2021 after more than two decades of initial planning, leading to the bridge’s scheduled opening on June 7.

BULLHEAD CITY — Five people were detained Saturday afternoon after police responded to reports of shots fired at a pedestrian.
