Lake County teen earns worldwide Air Force JROTC honor
LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A Mount Dora High School teen and rising senior has been named the Air Force/Space Force JROTC Cadet of the Year, according to a news release. Mud Hole & CCA Florida Prepare for 3rd Annual Youth Scholarship Week. 2024/2025 Program Participants Compete for College Scholarship Funds. Oviedo, FL, May 22, 2024 – For the third consecutive year, the Mud Hole Education Program and CCA Florida are bringing together ten ecologically-minded high school students from across the state of Florida to compete for $6,000 in college scholarship funds. The CCA Florida Fred Crabill Youth Scholarship Program presented by the Mud Hole Custom Tackle Education Program was created to provide support for students that are making a difference in their communities and to help develop the conservation-focused leaders of tomorrow.
Frontline Innovation Studios Alumnus Awarded $20,000 Scholarship
On Thursday, May 23rd, Frontline Innovation Studios (FIS) celebrated the graduation of its latest cohort and presented former student, Desiree Moore, with a $20,000 scholarship. Desiree, a recent graduate of Orlando Science High School, has been a dedicated leader to younger FIS students for the past two years. She is set to embark on her academic journey at the University of Central Florida in the Fall, where she will pursue a degree in the medical field.
