One arrested, one sought in Laurel pursuit investigation
LAUREL, Del. – Police have arrested one suspect and are searching for a second following a vehicle chase Thursday afternoon. At around 1:30 p.m., an officer on patrol reportedly tried to stop a white Kia Forte for speeding, however, the car fled in a reckless manner into the Lake Pines residential community. The car allegedly fled down several residential streets at a high rate of speed and failed to stop for multiple stop signs while also turning through the neighborhood in an attempt to evade the office. The vehicle eventually sped down a dead-end road and stopped on a home’s front lawn, at which point a male subject got out and fled on foot.
Police searching for Seaford man wanted for hitting law enforcement vehicle, fleeing
SEAFORD, Del. – Seaford Police are searching for a man wanted for allegedly hitting a law enforcement vehicle and fleeing. At around 1 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the area of Bridgeville Highway and Dutton Avenue to help Probation and Parole officers who had observed a suspect in a stopped vehicle in the area of Independence Drive and Nylon Avenue. Probation and Parole officers had reportedly tried to get out of their vehicle to make contact with the suspect regarding an active Breach of Release warrant when the suspect sped off, hitting the Probation and Parole vehicle. The suspect then reportedly continued to Bridgeville Highway, at which point he abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot into a wooded area. Police and a K-9 searched for the suspect, but were unsuccessful.

Laurel man arrested for resisting arrest
LAUREL, Del. – Laurel Police have charged a man with resisting arrest for a second time. At around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, an officer on patrol was conducting a property check of the Hollybrook Apartments due to the high crime rate in the area. The officer observed a man walking on Grazing Court, who caught the officer’s attention by his reported deliberate attempts to avoid detection by the officer and covering his face entirely with a hooded sweatshirt. The man then walked between buildings to get away from the officer.
