Memorial football proved it has championship resolve in victory over Reitz
EVANSVILLE — This was the exact scenario that Memorial coach John Hurley wanted to witness. The reasoning harkened to how this season has unfolded. Memorial delivered its loudest and biggest victory to date with a 30-27 triumph over Reitz. Flip any sequence, especially in the second half, and the result on the scoreboard possibly changes. It was that close. But the Tigers had the winning mix in the final minutes. That could prove vital in the coming weeks. From the other side: Reitz football falls short in Week 7 against Memorial More: Southwestern Indiana week 7 high school football scores, updates "This is good for us to kind of get punched in the mouth and compete," Hurley said. "We weren’t as efficient as we needed to be, but we made plays when we needed to."
