Manassas Resident Wins National Pool Championship
Omer Nawazy of Manassas won the 2024 APA 9-Ball Shootout Pool Championship earlier this month in Las Vegas. Nawazy was amongst nearly 6,000 poolplayers throughout North America who attempted to qualify for the American Poolplayers Association’s (APA) 9-Ball Shootout. He was one of only 820 that advanced to the national finals at the Westgate Las Vegas.
Washington Softball Season Ends In Regionals
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Washington softball's season came to a close in the Columbia Regional following a hard-fought 4-1 loss against host and No. 7 national seed Missouri on Saturday night. The Huskies finish the season with a record of 32-15. Washington tallied six hits on the night led by Rylee Holtorf with two. Jillian Celis, Kinsey Fiedler, Sydney Stewart and Avery Hobson all notched hits.

Every year the two varsity lacrosse teams play each other for the One Love mission. On the third of May, this game took place. For this game, the boys and girls lacrosse team switch sticks and play each other. The purpose of the game is to support the One Love Foundation. Their mission is to educate people about healthy and unhealthy relationships and how to avoid abuse in relationships.
