EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The drop box in front of the Civic Center on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Evansville is not available at this time.

Treasurer Dottie Thomas confirms a vehicle hit the box a few weeks ago and they’re working on a replacement but couldn’t get it completed before May 10’s tax deadline.

Thomas says the drop box is a popular way to pay and typically the office will have a full box come Monday morning.

In the meantime, there are ways to pay online . Anyone with questions can call the Vanderburgh County Treasurer’s Office at (812) 435-5248.
