BUG TUSSLE, Okla. — A couple at Lake Eufaula is in awe after they said they saw two tornadoes drop on the lake at Juniper Point.

It was around 6 p.m. on Sunday when Dalton and Kendra Morrow saw it.

“So we’d seen the wall cloud coming in, and we’d seen the rotation and it was dropping, then going back up and dropping and going back up, and just went right past our house, right back over here, and so we lost visual of it, so we went around the trees to the lake, and that’s whenever it started forming, coming out of the sky, and we watched the whole thing come down and go all the way across the lake and go out across the lake,” Dalton Morrow said.

“And while we were out there, two of them dropped,” Kendra said.

Kendra said she had never seen a tornado before.

“I was shaking, because I’ve never seen a tornado, so I was freaking, I was excited,” Kendra said. “Because it was behind us, it was just barely, I mean it wasn’t even a mile to the north behind our house.”

They were both excited when it hit the water.

“Dude, it was pretty awesome,” Dalton said.

I was freaking I was like, “I need to call my mom,’ because my mom and everyone was in the house with the kids, but it wasn’t coming towards the house but I was excited I don’t know,” Kendra said.

They said it was something they’d never expect.

“Especially not today, it was not even bad weather today,” Dalton said.

“I have out lived here, my parents live out here, my whole life and we’ve never seen a tornado out here,” Kendra said. “There’s never been one in the daylight, so I’m glad it was during the day.”

We asked it if looked like it hit any part of town.

“No, not that we’d seen, we’d seen it come down on the water and it went directly across the lake and we lost it whenever it went back towards Crowder,” Dalton said.

“There was too many trees, we couldn’t see it,” Kendra said.
