    2-year-old fatally shoots himself: police

    EUCLID, Ohio (WJW) – Euclid police are investigating the shooting death of a 2-year-old boy .

    On Sunday, May 5, police were called to a house in the 800 block of East 236th Street at about 12:30 a.m. for a report of a child with a serious injury.

    According to police, when officers arrived, they learned the 2-year-old had found a gun inside the house.

    “Police believe that the young boy was able to fire the gun, tragically striking himself,” police Capt. Mitch Houser told the FOX 8 I-Team . “He was later pronounced deceased at a nearby hospital.”

    The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the boy as 2-year-old Legend L. Davidson.

    No arrests have been made at this time, said police. The investigation is ongoing.
