DENVER (KDVR) — The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and Estes Park Police Department joined forces to conduct an operation to take in several people wanted in the area.

The overnight operation on April 17 resulted in the arrest of nine individuals on mainly misdemeanor warrants, but also one felony warrant.

“This is another great example of local law enforcement resources working together for public safety. We are fortunate in Northern Colorado to have the cooperative relationship between the Estes Park Police Department and the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office,” said interim Estes Park Police Chief Ian Stewart.

The departments identified the man wanted on a felony warrant as Daniel Lovenburg, 28, who was sought for a Department of Corrections parole hold.

According to the agencies, Lovenburg barricaded himself in his home on South St. Vrain Avenue when officers first contacted him. After several minutes of negotiations, officers were reportedly able to secure his surrender and safely take Lovenburg into custody.

Eight others were arrested on various failure to appear/comply misdemeanor warrants .
