Search for missing RMNP trail runner from Fort Collins comes up empty
The search continues for a Fort Collins man who went missing in Rocky Mountain National Park last week. Chad Pallansch, 39, was due back from a trail run on Thursday. His wife last heard from him around lunchtime Wednesday. Park rangers said his vehicle remains parked at the North Inlet Trailhead on the park’s west side. Rangers are using ground and air crews to search a 28-mile route from East Inlet across the Continental Divide that includes established trails and backcountry.

63-year-old cyclist hurt in hit-and-run crash
BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. — The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) is looking for the driver of a sedan who struck and seriously injured a bicyclist on Highway 119 and kept on driving. The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. on Sept. 7 near milepost 49 just outside Boulder city limits in Boulder County, according to CSP. The driver, who was in a silver sedan, hit the bicyclist and left. The 63-year-old bicyclist was seriously injured, CSP said.
