Student of the week: Lilly Van Tilburg
Members of the Trail-Gazette would like to congratulate EPHS junior Lilly Van Tilburg on being named Bank of Estes Park’s Student of the Week. In her third year at EPHS, Van Tilburg spends her time as a member of the district’s Youth in Action club and on the sidelines as a trainer for the Bobcat football team. Van Tilburg considers passing all of her difficult core classes one her biggest accomplishments, and outside of school, enjoys going on hikes.

Club pro wins Grand Lake Men’s Club golf championship
Granby’s Larry Burks, club pro at the Grand Elk Golf Club, won the 2023 Grand Lake Men’s Club golf championship on Aug. 30-31. Keyed by a first-round 77, Burks defeated Stewart Schwensen by one stroke in the two day competition. It was Burks’ second club championship at Grand Lake, where he was formerly the club pro.
