Have you voted? Hungry for a slice?

The Estacada High School Student Council wants every eligible voter to mark and turn in their ballots and are handing out complementary pizza as a reward.

From noon to 2 p.m. Monday, May 20, voters can swing by the high school stadium and get a free, drive-thru slice of pizza if they show proof they have voted.

Residents need a text, email confirmation or a sealed ballot that will be dropped off as proof they voted.

The Estacada School District has a $149 million facilities bond on the ballot. The bond will build a new high school, improve aging facilities, address overcrowding, bolster safety and advance career readiness.

The district is financially supporting the student council’s “get out the vote” project.

The Student Council announcement said they don’t care who or what folks vote for, “we just want you to vote.”

Ballots must be mailed with a valid postmark or put in an official ballot drop site before 8 p.m. on election night, Tuesday May 21.

In Estacada there are ballot drop boxes at Estacada City Hall, 475 S.E. Main St. and at the Estacada Public Library, 502 N.W. Wade St.

“We encourage everyone in the community to vote in this May’s primary election,” the student council said.
