Tanner Thach sets single-season home run record as UNCW topples Campbell 14-7
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A record was broken at Brooks Field as the UNCW Seahawks cruised to victory over Campbell on Sunday 14-7. Sophomore Infielder Tanner Thach set the UNCW single-season home run record with his 22nd home run on Sunday. Thach did so on a three-run homer in the bottom of the eight inning, while also recording three hits, scoring four and knocking in four. All this and more led to the Seahawks sweeping the three game home series against Campbell and improving to (32-16;17-4) on the season.
