DELAND, Fla. -- No. 10 Florida State baseball (37-13) allowed six homers to Stetson (34-19) in a 10-5 loss on Tuesday night at Melching Field. The Hatters' entered the evening averaging 0.90 homers per game. The loss was FSU's first to an in-state opponent (14-1) and second in a midweek game.

Despite no Volusia-Flagler girls tennis teams capturing state championships, the local clubs made plenty of noise this spring. Spruce Creek remained the class of the area. The Hawks finished 14-3 overall and 5-0 in head-to-head matchups against other local squads. They won the Five Star Conference Tournament, claimed a district title and fell just short of a state appearance in the region finals.
