Feeding America distribution slated for Menominee County Thursday morning
MENOMINEE, Mich. (WLUC) - Feeding America West Michigan has a food distribution event scheduled for Thursday morning in Menominee. The pantry is located at the Marinette/Menominee YMCA at 1600 West Drive with distribution scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. Central time. Those who are unable to physically attend can have a proxy or stand in pick up food for them. That person should be ready to give the name, address, and household size of the family they are picking up for.

Hardy Gallery Announces 2024 Season
The Hardy Gallery will open for its 62nd season May 24, starting with its annual Wall-to-Wall Juried Exhibit on display May 24 – July 7. The exhibit is open to emerging and established artists working in a variety of media, and this year’s judge is Door County artist Shan Bryan-Hanson. During the exhibit, the public can vote for their favorite piece to receive the People’s Choice Award. A juror talk will take place June 14, 2-3 pm, and an opening reception will be held May 24, 5:30-7 pm.
Cappaert Contemporary Gallery Turns 10
Cappaert Contemporary Gallery is now open for its 10th season. Ceramicist Andryea Natkin, contemporary basket-maker Laura Weber, and jewelry-maker Ruth Ann Harmes, will make their debuts at the gallery, joining a roster of 40 artists from across the midwest working in painting, sculpture, encaustic, fiber, ceramics, glass, jewelry and mixed media.

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Menominee golf team participated in the Kingsford Great Northern Conference match at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain.
