Ruby James At Door County Fire Company
Sturgeon Bay songstress Ruby James kicked off her solo career at the Tambourine Lounge this April with two back-to-back shows that sold out before most people knew about them. Now, James and her band are ready to do it again, but louder, at the Door County Fire Company on May 3, 7 pm. They’ll be back with a bigger sound, more new songs (as well as old favorites) and room to dance.

Multiple fire departments put out overnight house fire in Door County
EPHRAIM, Wis. (WBAY) - Multiple fire departments helped extinguish a fire that engulfed part of a home on the 2000 block of Shannon Square Ct. in Ephraim, near Sturgeon Bay. Crews were called just before midnight. Action 2 News is at the scene, where we can see part of the house was destroyed by the fire, including some of the roof.

Firehouse Comedy Club brings standup to Sturgeon Bay. Sturgeon Bay comedian Asher Brooks can’t remember a time in his life when he wasn’t onstage. As a young child, the Georgia native sang in choir and performed skits in Cub Scouts. When he was a bit older, he joined his high school’s drama club and acted in musicals. And in college, he performed in his first comedy show – more or less by accident.

Menominee, Negaunee get Tree City USA certification
MARQUETTE, MI— Two Upper Peninsula communities have joined the Tree City USA list. Menominee and Negaunee have received the certification for their efforts to promote and care for public trees. They are among 121 Michigan communities and ten college campuses recognized through their respective programs for work accomplished during 2023.
“Badger” Staff Hopes to Move Up Ferry’s First Crossing After Repairs
With repairs nearing completion after the loading ramp failed at the SS Badger ferry dock in Michigan, the historic ferry will resume trips across Lake Michigan this spring. Managers for the ferry – which can carry 180 cars, or fewer if tractor-trailer rigs and big RVs are on board – expressed optimism the ramp for the dock will be repaired and the ship can sail earlier than originally anticipated.
