Roundabout project at SR 81 and Thayer to start in the fall of 2025
ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Preliminary work continues to put in a roundabout at the busy intersection of State Route 81 and Thayer Road. The project is currently in the design phase, and that is expected to wrap up this winter, with construction starting in the fall of next year.

Allen County Master Gardener Education Programs for Children
May 31, 2024, Press Release from the Ohio State University Extension Allen County: Allen County – The Allen County Master Gardener Volunteers are hosting several educational programs this summer for children at the Lima Children’s Garden located at 620 West Market Street, Lima, OH 45801. They will host a Hands-on-Habitat program on Saturday, June 8, at 10 a.m. The program is for ages 5–10. Parents must stay on-site for the duration of the program. The cost is $10 per participant, and payments can be made on the day of the program. Pre-registration is required and is limited to 20 spots. To register, call 419-879-9108. Registration must be received by Friday, June 7.
Ada kicks off summer June 1-2
The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce has coordinated "Kick Off Summer" activites on June 1-2. On Saturday, The Ada Public Library kicks off Summer Read and many downtown businesses will have activities and treats for children. On Sunday, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. the free Punt, Pass and Kick competition at ONU's Dial-Roberson Stadium is open to children ages 6-15.
