School closings and delays due to severe weather

UPDATE: Edison Local Schools had to cancel two bus routes due to roads not being passable because of trees, powerlines and telephone poles in the road.

Bus routes cancelled were high school route bus 41 and Stanton Elementary school bus 42.

Due to severe weather the Northern Counties experienced overnight, a couple of schools have closed or are on a 2-Hour Delay.

So far we have been told Hancock County Schools have closed Wednesday May 8th due to extensive weather issues that parts of the county experienced.

Also Edison Local Schools are on a 2-Hour Delay from reported damage in their area. Edison said
