Grand jury declines to indict N.J. high school principal
NEWARK, N.J. -- A grand jury has declined to indict the principal of a New Jersey high school on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child. Frank Sanchez was accused of an assault on a former student at the high school in March 2023. Prosecutors claim Sanchez pushed, shoved and pulled a 16-year-old former student. Sanchez, who is on paid leave from the Columbia High School in the South Orange-Maplewood School District, pleaded not guilty. He still faces an assault charge. SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The spring athletic season was once again an amazing one for Spotswood High School. The Chargers golf, softball, baseball and tennis all repeated as Greater Middlesex Conference Division champs. SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - A local fourth grader has self-published a book called The Battle of Cerulea Pentalogy, the story of two friends from an orphanage who get a hold of a place switcher gadget from an old guru. According to an email, the proceeds from the book will go to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital. Shiv Badgujar is a fourth grader at Monmouth Junction Elementary, and has been writing about his vacations, sports, and illustrating ‘Flip-O-Ramas’ since he was much younger, according to an email.
