Construction is underway in some locations, with additional construction to be completed in the coming weeks. Through this fiber expansion, thousands of local residents and business owners in these communities will have access to Fidium’s multi-gig speed fiber internet service.
Burlington man arrested on DUI, drug charges in Franklin County
GEORGIA — A Burlington man was arrested early Sunday morning on charges including suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of regulated drugs, Vermont State Police said. Officers responded to multiple calls about a suspicious vehicle operated by 40-year-old Oliver Reed on Polly Hubbard Road around 8:26 a.m.

Last week had been a week of many happenings, and now a new week begins. It looks like a nice week coming our way with warmer temps. I received word this week that Ellen Coolidge passed away in April. She lived part-time on West Hill and worked in Canada. The family of Dee Pratt came for a graveside burial on May 18th. Although she passed away in 2022 this was the time scheduled for the family to come and lay her to rest. God bless these families mentioned.

JEFFERSONVILLE — A Waterville man was arrested early Wednesday morning after allegedly breaking into a local construction business, state police said. Notch Road barriers fail to stop tractor-trailer
CAMBRIDGE, Vt. (WCAX) - Just two days after opening, a tractor-trailer has skirted new barriers to stop truck traffic on the Notch Road. It happened Thursday morning on the Cambridge side of Route 108. VTrans officials say that just before 11:30 a.m. the driver of a big rig used the left lane to avoid the new chicanes installed this month. Instead of getting stuck on the narrow road, they ended up using one of the new parking areas to turn around.
Vt. trooper receiving TBI rehab following I-89 crash
MONTEPLIER, Vt. (WCAX) - A Vermont State Trooper injured in an I-89 crash in March is being treated for severe traumatic brain injury. Corporal Eric Vitali, a 19-year VSP veteran, was on his way to a first-aid training in Waterbury the morning of March 8 when he crashed into the back of a Bethel Volunteer Fire Department tanker truck that was responding to another crash just north of the Bethel exit.

Child hit by school bus in Waterbury
WATERBURY, Vt. (WCAX) - A child in Waterbury was sent to the hospital Wednesday morning after being hit by a school bus. It happened on Blush Hill Road just after 8 a.m. Vermont State Police say the 77-year-old driver was slowing down to make a stop when a 12-year-old ran in front and was hit. Police say the bus was going about 5 mph at the time of the accident.
