New clinic offers mental health services in Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE (WKBT) -- A new clinic location has opened in Eau Claire.

NorthLakes Community Clinic announced Wednesday they have opened a second location at 1002 West Clairemont Avenue.

According to a release, the new clinic will offer, "a spectrum of counseling services, such as Behavioral Health and Recovery counseling, to provide vital mental health care to the Chippewa Valley region."

NorthLakes says their Clairemont location is open to all patients, with a focus on those who are under-insured and those covered by Medicaid.

Patients will also be able to speak with a community health worker to discuss social determinants of health such as housing, employment, transportation and insurance.

In June, NorthLakes plans to add primary medical and outpatient recovery to services at the Clairemont location.

Pediatric dentistry and general dentistry will still be provided at their Hastings Way clinic.
