SLAUGHTER - Authorities are looking for a pair of men who crashed a stolen SUV while fleeing sheriff's deputies and then ran from the crash scene. According to East Feliciana Sheriff Jeff Travis, deputies tried to stop the vehicle, an SUV pulling an ATV on a trailer, on LA 412 around 7:45 a.m. over a traffic violation. The vehicle drove off and crashed into a ditch near the corner of LA 412 and Lemon B Road, and a pair of men jumped out and started running.

SLAUGHTER — Multiple agencies are assisting in attempting to find two men who fled from an East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s deputy Tuesday morning leading to a manhunt. It was around 7:45am on May 30 when a deputy attempted to stop a suburban pulling a four-wheeler on a trailer along Hwy. 412 near Hokaday and Lemon B roads. When the deputy tried conducting a traffic stop, the driver of the suburban took off, according to East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s officials.

A manhunt is underway for two men who led deputies on a brief chase and crashed into a ditch in East Feliciana Parish, the sheriff said. A Chevy Suburban was pulling a trailer carrying a four-wheeler on Plank Road near La. 412, shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday, when the driver, Montero Matthews, 19, began driving erratically, East Feliciana Sheriff Jeff Travis said.

ETHEL - Deputies in East Feliciana Parish arrested an 18-year-old and a minor after finding a stolen car rolled over in a ditch Wednesday.
