East Brunswick Police Officers Aided by First Responders

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - On May 17, 2023, Sergeant John Bird and Sergeant James Angermeier were operating East Brunswick Police Motorcycle Units when a vehicle obstructed their path, resulting in a crash.

Sergeant Bird and Sergeant Angermeier sustained injuries and were rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

Yesterday, Sergeant Bird and Sergeant Angermeier had the opportunity to meet with the RWJUH Medics, who responded and rendered emergency aid on the day of the crash, and to thank them personally.

The East Brunswick Police Department would like to thank the RWJUH staff for the service they provide to our community on a daily basis.

"A special thanks to Spotswood EMS and Milltown EMS for proving BLS support on the day of the crash!," says a statement from the EBPD.
