Storms track near Iowa-Minnesota border overnight
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - After that, another hot day is in store for Wednesday. We’re watching for the potential of some storms in the far north tonight as a disturbance rides along the edge of this hot and humid air mass in the central United States. Right now, it appears the chance for storms will be higher north of the TV9 viewing area in southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Still, it’s a close call, and some storms could move through our northernmost counties tonight. The time frame would be between about 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.

STORM ALERT WEATHER 3 FORECAST: Sunny, seasonal weekend
The theme of seasonable temperatures and relatively low humidity continues this weekend with plenty of sun to enjoy. Breezy northwest winds will drop dew points to the 40s and 50s, making for the most comfortable weekend we have experienced in quite some time! Some clouds will start to increase Sunday as the opening ceremony for the World Aerobatic Championship kicks off in Clear Lake. Low-end threats for rain and storms return to kick off the new work week, but precipitation will be rather isolated. Temperatures will rebound to the upper 70s to low 80s as south winds return for much of next week.
