Four people were injured – one critically – in an ATV crash just outside of Duluth, with police saying alcohol was a factor.

A 17-year-old girl was taken to a Duluth-area hospital with life-threatening, critical injuries after the side-by-side vehicle crashed near the intersection of North Pike Lake Road and Helm Road in Canosia Township around 10 p.m. Monday.

Three other people, two women aged 23 and 18, and a 27-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

It hasn't been released publicly at this time who was driving the vehicle, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says "alcohol is believed to be a factor in this crash."

Note: The details provided in this story are based on law enforcement’s latest version of events, and may be subject to change.
