A pro-Israel rally is set for the county seat in Doylestown, and organizers are asking Bucks County residents to bring Israeli and American flags to show support.

The rally will take place Sunday, May 12 at noon at the corner of N. Main Street and E. Court Street, near the old county courthouse, according to a flyer published by the Doylestown Republican Club.

“We are having this rally because we are louder and stronger than hateful anti-Semitism," said Ellen Cox, who leads the Doylestown Republican Club. "And with anti-Israel and anti-Semitic activity now in (the Central Bucks School District), on college campuses and in other communities, it’s vital to show our support for our Jewish friends and neighbors, and Israel, here in Bucks County. We will not allow it here and they are not alone.”

The rally comes amid alleged anti-semitic statements posted online by a Central Bucks School District teacher, and posts to a social media account by the school's Muslim Student Association. The complaint alleges students have posted "several anti-semitic statements," "nuanced remarks," and "direct attacks" against Jewish students and the community on the MSA's Instagram account, and the teacher has used social media accounts for his private apparel business to "promote anti-semitic/anti-Israel hate speech and calls for violence."

The federal Office of Civil Rights is investigating. The district has until May 7 to submit its response. The offices do not publicly release information about complaints or their investigation status.
