HOLLAND, Mich. — At 17, Hailey Huggett should be worried about getting to class on time. Instead, she's worried about what might stop her. "I've talked with my friends before about actually facing that reality of thinking, you know, today could be the very last time that I ever hugged my mom goodbye," Huggett said.

HAMILTON, MI- Top high school athletes from the lower peninsula gave it their to try and etch their name into the history books on Saturday. MHSAA athletes competed in the Division 2 state finals for track and field at Hamilton High School on June 1. Overcast skies with pockets of sun kicked off the morning field events. In the afternoon, constant rain without delays made for a wet track for the running events. However, the rain did not stop the athletes from competing at a high-level and setting records on the soggy track.
