Grand Rapids Braces for Months-Long US-131 Ramp Closure for $6M Bridge Improvements
Commuters in Grand Rapids are bracing for a new round of construction as officials announce the shutdown of a major traffic ramp. Starting Monday, April 29, the two-lane ramp from northbound US-131 to I-96 and Alpine Avenue (M-37) will be out of commission until mid-October, as reported by FOX 17. Motorists will have to take a detour via the West River Drive exit to get back on southbound US-131 to reach I-96.
