DETROIT (WWJ) — A 32-year-old man, who allegedly opened fire outside a Detroit nightclub last month, is in police custody and due in court later this morning.

Back on March 29, a group of men got into an argument with 32-year-old Damond Hunter of Detroit, outside of a nightclub on West Chicago near Oakman Boulevard, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office. At some point, the argument escalated to violence and Hunter allegedly pulled out a gun and fired multiple times, striking five men ages ranging from 33-48, before fleeing the scene.

All five victims received treatment with non-life threatening injuries.

After reportedly returning home from a trip to Tennessee, Hunter was arrested at Detroit Metro Airport last week, following a police investigation.

Hunter has been charged with five counts of intent to murder, five counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, one count of felon in possession of a firearm and 11 counts of felony firearm.

His bond was set at $5 million.
