Rare century-old wooden water pipe found in Wichita
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A rare piece of Wichita history was recently dug up underground, giving a glimpse into what the city’s water lines looked like in the early 1900s. Contractors found a wooden water pipe that experts believe dates back to 1910 while working on a project on Emporia St. downtown between 1st and 2nd St. The pipe is now on display at The Tap of Kansas.
