Armed suicidal man is killed by police outside Haysville liquor store
HAYSVILLE, Kan. (KAKE) - An armed man suspected of suffering mental illness is dead after police officers shot him outside a liquor store in Haysville. Officers responded just before 5 p.m. Tuesday to check the welfare of a reported suicidal person at a home in the 200 block of North Lamar. Police Chief Jeff Whitfield said officers didn't find the person at the address but got a vehicle description and a tag number.
Wichita man charged with 2023 murder of 16-year-old
MARSHALL, Texas (KETK) — After nine months, police have arrested a Wichita man for murder in connection to a 2023 shooting of a 16-year-old. The Marshall Police Department said they were notified of a person lying in the roadway at the 1800 block of Alexander Street on June 7, 2023 at around 1:30 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 16-year-old dead of a single gunshot wound.

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - For the third time since early February, Evergy disconnected power at Towne West Square in west Wichita due to the owner's unpaid bill. "Kohan Retail Investment Group has again fallen delinquent on the electricity bill for Towne West Mall, and Evergy disconnected service at the mall," Evergy said in a statement Wednesday afternoon.
