Officer-involved shooting in Lithonia under investigation
Officials from Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) announced on May 27 an investigation into an officer-involved shooting in Lithonia. According to a news release, DeKalb County Police Department (DKPD) asked GBI to conduct an independent investigation after one man died following the incident.
