(Omaha) A Flood Watch is in effect from 10:00 p.m. this evening through Friday morning for Shelby, Pottawattamie, Harrison and Monona Counties. (Atlantic) The Atlantic softball team put it all together on Thursday night, resulting in a 13-1 win over Denison-Schleswig. Zoey Kirchhoff pitched a gem, allowing one run on six hits and retiring the final thirteen straight hitters to seal the deal for Atlantic. The sophomore pitcher struck out seven hitters with no walks, and the defense did not commit an error. The Trojans scored 13 runs on 13 hits.

According to the National Weather Service, Emergency Management reported power lines down on the northeast side of Audubon at 1:39 a.m. Local law enforcement also reported several tree branches down in the city limits. Audubon Boy’s Baseball Off to a Much Better Start
(Audubon, IA) – While the scores may not show it through the first three games, the Audubon Wheelers are off to a much better start. This season, they’re led by first-year baseball coach Eric Borkowski, who previously led the Audubon softball program to multiple seasons of success. He is already seeing his athletes push forward while not giving up out on the field. These kids are not striking out as much and have a more positive attitude to start the season.
