Man hospitalized after Merriman Valley shooting early Friday
A 35-year-old man was hospitalized Friday morning after being found with a gunshot wound in Merriman Valley, according to Akron police. Officers responded to reports of a shooting at about midnight in the 1800 block of Merriman Road. Upon arrival, police found the man with gunshot wound to the chest. He was subsequently transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General, where he is currently listed in critical condition. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Struthers splash pad, Girard theater upgrades among projects funded by state
