12-year-old dies a week after being shot in Montgomery, police say
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - The deadly shooting of a Montgomery child has prompted a homicide investigation. A police spokeswoman says a 12-year-old girl was shot in the 4100 block of Keating Drive sometime before 2:30 a.m. May 31. The child was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Birmingham. She was pronounced dead on June 7.
