DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — People looking to have their pet microchipped can do so for free in Centerville.

On Saturday, May 18, the Humane Society of Greater Dayton will offer free microchipping at the 2024 Furry Skurry. From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., pet parents can visit the event at St. Leonard at the Dayton Humane Veterinary Hospital booth.

“With summer and holidays like Fourth of July coming up, now is the perfect time to be proactive and get your pets microchipped to be safe,” said the Humane Society.

Although the Furry Skurry is a running event, you do not have to be a participant in the race to have your pet microchipped.
