ENMU Presents “The Giver” State Adaptation Oct. 2–4
ENMU’s Department of Theatre and Digital Filmmaking is proud to present Lois Lowry’s “The Giver,” adapted for the stage by Eric Coble. “The Giver” is an adaptation of the famous Newbery Award-winning book of the same name by Lois Lowry. The beloved story is that of Jonas, a twelve-year-old boy who lives in what seems to be a perfect society whose life changes when he is selected as the community’s receiver, the one person in the entire community who holds the memories of all human history. With the help of his mentor, the Giver, Jonas must come to terms with what he thought was his home and how everything changes when he has the whole story.
