Playoff update: How the last two teams standing in the Panhandle fared in the postseason
The Canyon baseball team is heading to a regional final. The Eagles used a five-run fifth inning to top Springtown in a Class 4A regional semifinal one-game playoff at Wolfforth Frenship. Canyon took advantage of two walks and an error to start the inning, and then Zabien Urteaga and Carson Allen smacked back-to-back singles, and Jacob Burris added another RBI single in the inning.

Hill’s thoughts of having education not just in with standard studies but also spiritual growth. In 1944 he began a campaign to find donations to build this church and in 1950, it was erected and opened,” said Wes Green, Assistant Vice President of Facilities and Construction.
