Winners named at Hansen and Anderson Basketball Banquet Sunday in Sioux Falls
SIOUX FALLS — Jacoby Mehrman of Harrisburg and Mahli Abdouch of O'Gorman are the 2024 South Dakota Mr. and Miss Basketball award winners. Mehrman, a 6-foot-4 senior guard who will play at the University of Sioux Falls, and Abdouch, a 5-8 senior guard who will play at the South Dakota State University, were named as the winners during a banquet held on Sunday.
Harrisburg’s Beau Karst breaks SD prep boys pole vault record
The state boys high school pole vault record has been broken. On Monday at a meet in Brandon, Beau Karst of Harrisburg achieved a jump of 16’3” to take over the top spot. The previous mark of 16’1.5” was set by Wagner’s Jaden Peters in 2021.
