Chiefs’ Rashee Rice allegedly hit photographer at nightclub weeks after car crash incident

Rashee Rice could be facing new legal troubles.
Dallas police are investigating the Chiefs wide receiver for allegedly hitting a photographer at a local nightclub, WFAA reported on Tuesday.
The alleged incident occurred early Monday morning at an address associated with Lit Kitchen and police are interviewing witnesses about the alleged assault.

One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and had visible swelling on the side of his face, The Dallas Morning News reported.
Officers had been dispatched around 2:30 a.m. and police officials confirmed to The Dallas Morning News that Rice was a suspect in the case.
No charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
The latest incident comes on the heels of Rice already facing major legal issues in connection to a multi-vehicle crash in Dallas in March, which sent two people to area hospitals and has led authorities to charge Rice – and SMU receiver Teddy Knox – with eight felony counts over the incident.

“Despite his physical abilities and responsibilities as a public figure, Rice raced a high-powered vehicle through the public roads of Dallas County, Texas, lost control, and injured several innocent people including the Plaintiffs in this cause,” part of the suit that was filed last month said.

A statement by his lawyer, Royce West, said that Rice was cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation of the crash.
“Mr. Rice acknowledges his actions and feels deeply for those injured as a result of this accident. Our legal team is now tasked with reviewing all legal documents,” part of the statement read.
Rice grew up in the Fort Worth suburb of North Richland Hills and played college football at SMU before being selected by the Chiefs in the second round in the 2023 NFL Draft.
The Chiefs receiver had 79 catches for 938 yards and seven touchdowns during his rookie season.
