Luck and Talent Turn a Hamptons Lot into a Year-Round Retreat
The current print and online editions of Ocean Home are running a piece I penned about a home in Hampton Bays, designed for a pair of empty nesters from New York. They were lucky to find the lot it’s built on during the pandemic, a fact reinforced by a song they heard almost immediatelty after closing. Billy Joel spends over $10M for sprawling East Hampton pad with horse farm, neighbors other A-listers
He’s in an East Hampton state of mind. Billy Joel purchased a pricey pad in East Hampton for a whopping $10.7 million dollars, according to public records. The sprawling 5-acre property on Town Lane in East Hampton is also a horse farm and has a pool and lily pond, according to its listing on Zillow. As the flowers bloom and the trees green with life, there’s no better way to spend your days than by enjoying the outdoors with your fur family. Sunny beach walks with my dog always make me think of the animals in our shelters who are still waiting to find their perfect fit. There are currently 45 dogs and 56 cats at the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation that are ready and waiting to find their fur-ever families. In an effort to shed light on some furry friends that are available for foster or adoption, SASF will be participating in an Adoption Event at Lenny Bruno Farms in Manorville on May 18th and May 19th. This will be an all-day event and an opportunity to meet a handful of SASF’s adoptable residents.
