Severe thunderstorms are likely in the Crossroads this afternoon. A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued this morning for counties in the Crossroads until 4 pm. This watch will likely be extended into the early evening as storms develop to our west. See below for which counties are under this watch and read on below for timing and more severe details. Severe Thunderstorm Watch as of 9 a.m.

Around noontime today, showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop to our west moving eastbound entering the Crossroads sometime around or after 2 p.m. The main risk with the storms today will be large hail up to 1.5" - 2.5" in diameter. The wind and tornado threat will remain low today, but these risks cannot be fully ruled out with partial shear overhead. Storms may become clustered or numerous going into the later afternoon/early evening with a vast majority of the Crossroads likely receiving rain, so stay weather aware on this dangerous day.
