(CRIPPLE CREEK, Colo.) — On Tuesday, May 7 the Two Mile High Club announced that one of its most beloved donkeys Amos passed away from natural causes on the evening of Monday, May 6.

Amos had been with the herd for around 15 years and was sometimes referred to as “Eeyore”. The Two Mile High Club described Amos as one of the sweetest and most loved of the herd. In recent years due to medical issues, Amos had called the winter pasture home all year round.

According to the Two Mile High Club, Amos had a special feeding station built for him and he got so excited for feeding time, that you could allegedly hear his braying from a mile away. Amos also had a famous kick and caretakers would quickly learn not to stand behind him. Amos left permanent hoof prints on the hearts of the Two Mile High Club and on some of their shins.

“Rest easy sweet Amos. You will forever be a part of the Cripple Creek Donkey herd, always loved and remembered,” writes Two Mile High Club.
