CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - The driver of a trash truck has been charged after his vehicle damaged a pedestrian bridge early this morning in one Eastern Carolina county. The Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 4:45 a.m. on U.S. 70 in James City. Troopers say the GFL trash truck first hit an overhead exit sign and then struck the bridge.
