The Craven County Sheriff's Office is investigating an apparent homicide/suicide that led to the death of three people Friday night.

Two men who were out of jail on pre-trial charges were arrested Thursday by members of the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes and Rapid Response unit on drug charges.

CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - The driver of a trash truck has been charged after his vehicle damaged a pedestrian bridge early this morning in one Eastern Carolina county. The Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 4:45 a.m. on U.S. 70 in James City. Troopers say the GFL trash truck first hit an overhead exit sign and then struck the bridge.
