    Corning man charged, allegedly had meth in jail

    BATH, N.Y. ( WETM ) — A Corning man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he had drugs while in jail.

    Harold G. Warner, 36, was arrested at the Steuben County Jail on May 12. According to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, deputies got a report about contraband being found in a holding cell at the Steuben County Jail. Authorities say that Warner hid what was suspected to be methamphetamine on his person while he was being booked into the jail.

    Man pleads guilty to 2023 Elmira murder

    Warner was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (a class A felony) and first-degree promoting prison contraband (a class D felony).

    Warner’s charges were read in the Centralized Arraignment Court, and he is being held in the Steuben County Jail without bail.
