CORNING, N.Y. ( WETM ) — Students at Corning Community College presented their yearlong school projects in CCC’s 4th annual Student Expo.

The students have been working on their projects throughout the fall and spring semesters. These projects consist of computer games, artwork and theatre productions among others.

One of the presenters, sophomore GianCarlo Salce said, “I think it’s a really cool way of demonstrating with fun, the things we can learn because I think school is often associated with hard work and strictly discipline.”

Salce’s co-partner in their project, sophomore Carter Mazzaraco added, “I think it’s really cool that the students get to show off their work. I’ve looked around a little bit and I think everyone’s work is really good.”

Another presenter, Marshal Mitchell, showcased two projects he did in designing dresses for the plays Silent Sky and Pippen. He mentioned how the event allows students to show their work and explain the process behind it.

“Getting into a public space and sharing your work is not always easy. But if you produce something that’s very exceptional, and you’re very proud of, I think you should have every opportunity to be able to showcase that to a wider audience and get the praise that you deserve”, said Mitchell.

The Student Choice Award went to GianCarlo Salce and Carter Mazzaraco for the production of their game called Super Matt–Joe Bros. The game has a similar style to the Nintendo game Super Mario Bros. but with a Corning Community College twist.
