    Columbus and Central Ohio Weather

The weather pattern has been active this week, as a series of disturbances moved east across the middle of the country to the Great Lakes, resulting in rounds of showers and storms.

Today will bring some drying, despite lingering clouds, with an area of high pressure providing a cool northwesterly flow. A few showers will develop over the eastern sections late this afternoon, and then move away quickly early this evening. Afternoon temperatures will remain in the 60s.

Low pressure will track through the southern Great Lakes early Saturday, pulling a trailing cold front southeast that will bring more rounds of showers and isolated storms into the afternoon, before pushing southeast of the region. The wind will be gusty in the afternoon.

Sunshine returns on Sunday, mixed with puffy clouds, and readings edging back into the low 70s after a cool start in the 40s.

A frontal boundary will lift northward early next week, putting the region back into a southerly flow of moist air. Showers will develop Monday night and continue off and on through midweek. Temperatures will rebound into the seasonable 70s.
