Ohio State is leading the way in college football when it comes to impacting a major position in the NFL

Ohio State sends a couple of positions to the NFL more often than others and wide receiver groups.

As pointed out by Pro Football Focus, the Buckeyes are well-represented when it comes to edge rushers in the NFL.

Ohio State currently has nine of them on an NFL roster and that number is tied for the most in the league.

Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa, Chase Young, Tyreke Smith, Zach Harrison, Sam Hubbard, Tyquan Lewis, Jaylyn Holmes, and Jonathan Cooper are all on NFL rosters. If you count Baron Browning, who is an outside linebacker then that is 10.

All of these players played under Larry Johnson at Ohio State. Not only kid that a testament to Johnson being in Columbus since 2013, but the amount of talent he has been able to help get to the NFL.

Nick Bosa is the best of the group with a Defensive Player of the Year award to his resume. His brother Joey has four seasons of at least double-digit sacks and Hubbard has been a solid starter for the Bengals.

Young just signed a new contract with the Carolina Panthers this offseason and will try to raise his numbers closer to what is expected out of a No. 2 overall pick.

Whether it is depth or high-end edge-rushing talent, the Buckeyes have produced it for the NFL. The next up very well could be Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimoloau in the 2025 NFL Draft.
